The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers met for the traditional face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
